Welcome Sara Amies
Sara Amies has joined Helsell Fetterman — a Seattle-based law firm serving businesses, organizations, and individuals. Sara is part of the firm’s Employment and Education Practice Group.
Sara is a leader in the Seattle employment law community with almost two decades of experience advising employees and small businesses on employment law issues. She handles a wide range of employment litigation, focusing whistleblower retaliation, gender and race discrimination, sexual harassment, and disability accommodations. She negotiates employment contracts, non-compete restrictions, and severance agreements. She has a special interest in non-competes and the evolving law around restrictive covenants in employment.
Sara prides herself on generating practical, problem-solving strategies that meet her clients’ goals and further the interest of justice. Prior to joining Helsell Fetterman, she was a Partner at Seattle Employment Law Partners
Sara graduated from The Evergreen State College with a BA in Literature and History. She then received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law. She has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star from 2007-2015 and as a Super Lawyer from 2016-2023.
