Welcome Richard Johnson


Richard L. Johnson has joined Helsell Fetterman — a Seattle-based law firm serving businesses, organizations, and individuals. Rich is part of the firm’s Taxation practice group.

Rich represents businesses and individuals in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service and the Washington State Department of Revenue.  He advises clients through IRS and DOR audits and appeals, and on tax collection matters to resolve lien, levy, and garnishment issues.

In addition to his practice, Rich teaches a course in federal tax procedure in the MSTax program at the University of Washington, Foster School of Business.

Rich graduated cum laude from Seattle University School of Law in 2006, then earned his LL.M in Taxation from the University of Washington School of Law in 2009. Prior to law school, Rich graduated from Whitman College with a B.A. in Economics & Chemistry-Biology.
