Helsell Fetterman Welcomes Michael Harrington

Firm’s Employment and Labor and Health Care Practice Groups Expanded with Arrival

Michael Harrington has joined Helsell Fetterman, bringing over 20 years of experience representing employers in all manner of labor and employment law cases, health care delivery systems, and related business matters to the firm. Mike provides strategic, practical counsel that keeps employers in compliance and out of court. He has a broad experience on the issues of discrimination and retaliation, employee handbook policies, wage and hour issues, health benefit plan design, social media issues, enforcement of restrictive covenants, trade secret protection and compensation. Mike represents employers in state and federal courts, as well as before state and local human rights agencies

Prior to joining Helsell Fetterman, Mike was counsel to Lane Powell. In addition, Mr. Harrington was an executive with a multi-billion dollar health care system and is well versed on the issues affecting health care employers and employers who provide health care to their employees. Mike’s practice focuses on the issues affecting the workplace with substantial experience conducting collective bargaining for employers in manufacturing, health care, construction, transportation, retail, and the public sector. 

A Northwest native, Mike graduated from Gonzaga University with a degree in Management Science. He returned to Gonzaga after working for a Seattle area construction company and earned his MBA and law degrees. Mike is a frequent presenter on employment law and health care issues. He’s a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Washington State Society of Healthcare Attorneys.
