Firm’s Professional Liability and Litigation Practice Groups Strengthened with Arrival
Mary DePaolo Haddad has joined Helsell Fetterman and practices in the firm’s professional liability, employment and commercial litigation practice groups. Mary is AV Rated by Martindale Hubbell and brings over fifteen years of experience advising and defending clients in matters of professional liability, real estate, construction, copyright and trademark, product liability, school law, employment and premises liability.
Mary has defended lawyers in transactional malpractice claims ranging in value from less than $50,000 to over $25,000,000. She has also represented medical, accounting, real estate and engineering professionals in civil and disciplinary actions.
When not practicing law, Mary serves in a leadership position with the Professional Liability Underwriting Society’s Northwest chapter where she is the Co-Chair. Mary is a Director of Ladder Down, a national program for women attorneys at all levels to hone their leadership and business development skills. Mary has served as a board member for the Seattle chapter of Mother Attorneys Mentoring Association. Mary is a frequent lecturer, speaking at national conferences on topics involving professional liability and legal diversity.
A native of Spokane, Mary received her B.A in History from Seattle University before attending Gonzaga University School of Law. Between law school and college she worked in Alex. Brown’s legal department in Baltimore, Maryland for the General Counsel and Secretary of the Board. Mary has practiced since 2002 in Seattle after starting her legal career in Spokane.
