Helsell Fetterman Welcomes New Partner


Helsell Fetterman, a Seattle-based law firm providing exceptional legal solutions for businesses, organizations and individuals is pleased to welcome Michelle Pham to the partnership, making history as the firm’s first Asian-American partner.

Michelle Pham has been practicing law for 9 years, joining Helsell Fetterman in 2017. A native of Houston, Michelle received her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and her law degree from Seattle University School of Law in 2011. In law school, Michelle was the National Competition Chair of the Moot Court Board and was honored twice with the Moot Court Board’s Golden Gavel Award.

Michelle leads the firm’s Intellectual Property practice and represents clients in every stage of litigation relating to business, intellectual property (copyright, trademark, trade secret), insurance defense, and health care disputes.

Michelle is a community leader; she currently serves as a Board Member of Verity Credit Union and Chair of the Litigation Section of the Washington State Bar Association. She previously served as President of the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Washington, Co-Chair of the Joint Asian Judicial Evaluation Committee, Board Chair of the Vietnamese Friendship Association (a Seattle-based nonprofit organization focused on removing barriers to immigrant and refugee success).

She has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers and a “One to Watch” by Best Lawyers. She was also inducted into the Seattle Intellectual Property American Inn of Court and The Fellows of the American Bar Foundation, a global honorary society of attorneys, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession and to the welfare of their communities.
