Professional Experience

Charlie resolves client matters inside and outside the courtroom.  Extensive experience in commercial disputes, debt restructuring, Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, receiverships, debtor financing, securities and real estate matters. He also represents businesses and individuals in significant trial and arbitration matters.

Before entering private practice, Charlie served as a judicial clerk to Chief Justice Gerry L. Alexander of the Washington State Supreme Court.

In his free time, you will find Charlie gardening, trying to cook, and cheering for the Seahawks, Mariners and his beloved Huskies.

  • Representation of beverage producer in citizen suit brought asserting violations of the Clean Water Act
  • Representation of high technology companies involving multimillion-dollar claims
  • Representation of major telecommunications company in disputes involving contract and regulatory compliance
  • Representation of clients in land use disputes, including land use petition act appeals (“LUPA”), adverse possession claims and condemnation proceedings
  • Representation of manufacturers and subcontractors in payment actions on public and private projects
