Professional Experience

Nassor (Nas) is a member of the firm’s business law, banking and finance, and intellectual property practice groups. His practice focuses on business, real estate, and intellectual property transactions.

In his corporate practice, Nas assists businesses through their entire lifecycle from entity formation, corporate governance, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, to reorganizations, asset and equity transfers, and partnership dissolutions. In addition to providing clients legal advice on business matters, Nas also drafts documents such as asset and equity transfer instruments, ancillary contracts for acquisitions and dispositions, entity organizational documents and non-disclosure and independent contractor agreements.

Nas’ real estate practice involves helping clients acquire, manage and dispose commercial real estate. To that end, he provides clients legal advice and drafts documents ranging from lease agreements, addendums, extensions, assignments, and terminations. Additionally, Nas also drafts loan documentation and modifications, ancillary documents for financing transactions, and Washington state law legal opinions.

Nas also advises clients on the strategic development and protection of their copyrights and trademarks. He has experience in registering copyrights and trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and representing clients in trademark infringement matters.

During law school, he served on the Law Review, Moot Court Board, and on the executive board of the Black Law Student Association. In law school, Nas also worked as a legal intern at the International Commission of Jurists in Nairobi, Kenya, summer associate at Helsell Fetterman, and law clerk at the Federal Trade Commission. For the fall semester of his final year of law school, Nas was an exchange student at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany where he earned a Certificate in Management and Leadership for Lawyers.

An immigrant from Zanzibar, Tanzania who grew up in Bellevue, Washington and a first-generation college graduate, Nas graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle in 2014 and the Seattle University School of Law in 2020. Outside of work, Nas enjoys playing and watching soccer, reading, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.

Wakati ule alikupokuwa katika chou cha kisheria, Nas pia alifanya kazi kama mwanafunzi wa kisheria katika Tume ya Kimataifa ya Wanasheria (International Commission of Jurists) huko Nairobi, Kenya, mshirika wa kiangazi (summer associate) katika Helsell Fetterman, na kama mshirika wa sheria katika ofisi ya serekali ya Tume ya Biashara za Shirikisho (Federal Trade Commission). Kwa msimu wa vuli wa mwaka wake wa mwisho wa masomo za sheria, Nas alikuwa mwanafunzi wa kubadilishana naye katika chou cha Sheria cha Bucerius (Bucerius Law School) huko Hamburg, Ujerumani ambapo alipata Cheti cha Usimamizi na Uongozi kwa Wanasheria.

Nas ni mhamiaji kutoka Zanzibar, Tanzania aliyekulia Bellevue, Washington na ni kizazi cha kwanza kuhitimu katika chuo kikuu cha Marekani, Nas alihitimu kutoka Chuo Kikuu cha Washington, Seattle (University of Washington, Seattle) mwaka 2014 na Chuo kikuu cha Sheria cha Seattle (Seattle University School of Law) mwaka 2020. Nje ya kazi, Nas anafurahia kucheza na kutazama mpira wa miguu, kusoma, kusafiri, na kutumia wakati na familia yake na marafiki.
