Helsell Fetterman Spent a Week in August Giving Back

Summer is about more than vacation at Helsell Fetterman. For the third year running, attorneys and staff faced off in a friendly race to see which of two teams could gather the most contributions for Mary’s Place and the YWCA Angeline’s Center. We work with each facility to find out what is tops on their wish lists, then work to meet those requests.  This year’s “Over the Rainbow” competition had Oz-themed days such as Behind the Curtain, If I Only Had a Brain, and There’s No Place Like Home. While the victors get bragging rights and the coveted Sandbox Trophy – the true winners are the women and children supported by these two centers.  Again demonstrating how rivalry can spice things up, the overall list of contributions was amazing.

A summary of what was collected:

– Well over 1,000 diapers of varying sizes (children and adult)
– Over 2,000 feminine and other personal hygiene products
– Almost 4,000 diaper wipes
– Over 900 after school snack items
– Over 20 sets of towels
– Kitchen dishes and small appliances
– 45 tickets for two theater chains and the zoo
– Cash and gift cards equaling $1,000
