Associate Lauren Parris Earns Starbucks Mentorship
Seattle, Wash. – July 2012 – Helsell Fetterman is proud to announce that Lauren Parris has been accepted as a junior attorney in the Starbucks Diversity Mentorship Program. The year-long program pairs minority lawyer mentees from around the Seattle area with Starbucks’ in-house lawyer mentors.
As an associate entering her second year as an attorney, this mentorship will assist Lauren in developing her practice, understanding corporations’ needs for legal services, and building a network of peers. She is looking forward to seeing how the experience will benefit herself and the firm during the next year, as well as over the course of her career.
“Coming from a background where none of my relatives were in the legal profession, it has been really important for me to seek out experienced people who can advise me,” Lauren commented. “I’m proud to receive this honor, excited to connect with my mentor, and interested in what I will learn from the experience. I also hope this will prepare me for mentoring young lawyers in the future, so I can give back to the community.”
Lauren looks to take the experience gained from this mentorship and apply it to the clients she supports in the primary areas of employment and commercial litigation.
